India Trip

I forgot to share pictures and my experience in India. It was fantastic! I think I would seriously consider going again in the future! Here's a few picutres to summarize my experience:

Of course, no trip to India is ever complete without a picutre in front of the Taj Mahal :]
Having to experience 'waiting' in line for 4 hours to enter the Golden Temple, it's definitly not like the boxing day line ups I've ever experienced!

One of the loveliest places I've ever visited: Shimla

And my favorite picture from the trip :] and I took this one all by myself!

Delayed Update

Wow, I really haven't updated this blog in a long time, in fact I nearly forgot the password but it doesn't mean I haven't baked for a year! I don't have as much to show you but they're all the pictures I could gather.

My Father's Day cake that I made for my dad :] I tried to make it similar to the cakes in Asian Bakeries since my parents generally don't like eating so much cream. I was the first time I made icing with double cream :] Originally I wanted to make a Swiss roll but it met an unfortunate event, well more like I had no clue how to roll it and it just ended up as layers of cake folded on top of each other -________-" Any who...here's the picture of my Father's Day cake [dad still kept my father's day sign! ]

A picture without the sign:

During my second Co-op term, I was actually in Ottawa and since I had A LOT of time on my hand, I did quite a bit of baking and decorating, take a look :] (all decorations were made using fondant)

I wish I took some pictures of the mittens that I made for my family while I was on Co-op, they were so warm and made using alpaca wool :] Okay, back to studying, I'll try to update more frequently but I definitely won't be able to do much baking this term since the oven doesn't work but I've been considering steaming and tofu ;]
